Fact-Checking & Verification Policy
In the cryptocurrency and blockchain ecosystem, misinformation, fraudulent social media impersonations, and unverified rumors can lead to substantial financial losses. Airdroplyx News maintains an uncompromising, multi-tier on-chain verification workflow to ensure every data point, snapshot claim, and technical metric is accurate before publication.
"Don't Trust, Verify": The Blockchain Standard
We treat public statements and social media posts as hypotheses that must be empirically proven via blockchain telemetry, block explorer records, and cryptographically signed consensus data.
The 5-Stage Verification Workflow
Stage 1: Primary Source Identification
Every news report begins with authentic primary sources. We do not aggregate unverified Twitter/X rumors or anonymous Telegram channels. We rely exclusively on:
- Official cryptographic announcements signed by protocol multisig addresses.
- Published governance proposals on official forums (Commonwealth, Discourse, Snapshot).
- Direct communications from verified protocol founders, lead architects, or foundation representatives.
Stage 2: Smart Contract & On-Chain Verification
Before reporting on a token deployment, staking cap increase, or testnet launch, our technical analysts independently verify the underlying on-chain state:
- Contract Verification: We check that smart contract bytecode is verified and open-source on block explorers (such as Etherscan, Arbiscan, Basescan, Solscan).
- Multisig Audit: We inspect administrative keys, timelock controllers, and multisig threshold configurations to verify genuine protocol governance.
- Mempool Monitoring: In breaking news events (e.g. flash crashes or exploit alerts), we trace transaction hashes and malicious bytecode directly.
Stage 3: Cross-Referencing Independent Analytics
To prevent reporting manipulated metrics or inflated wash-trading figures, all Total Value Locked (TVL), volume, and user numbers are corroborated across multiple independent analytics platforms, including DefiLlama, Dune Analytics, Nansen, and Token Terminal.
Stage 4: Anti-Phishing & Security Vetting
Crypto airdrops are prime targets for malicious phishing drainers. When linking to any testnet faucet, portal, or dApp:
- Our security team verifies domain registration records, SSL certificates, and official DNS configurations.
- We cross-reference links against blacklists maintained by Web3 security extensions (Rabby, Pocket Universe, Scam Sniffer).
- We never link to unverified smart contracts that request unlimited token approvals without audit clearance.
Stage 5: Editorial Review & Continuous Monitoring
Every article must receive sign-off from a Senior On-Chain Analyst prior to publication. Following publication, stories are actively monitored for snapshot changes, protocol updates, or community feedback.
How to Submit Fact-Checking Feedback
If you are a protocol developer or community member and believe a reported metric or technical detail requires updating or correction, please email our verification team directly at corrections@airdroplyx.com with supporting transaction hashes or GitHub commits.
