Nesa has officially launched the public incentivized testnet for its AI Virtual Machine (AIVM), establishing the first Layer 1 blockchain specifically architected for confidential, zero-knowledge machine learning (ZKML) inference. Backed by $4.5 million from Cogitent Ventures and HashKey Capital, Nesa bridges the critical gap between Web3 privacy and advanced artificial intelligence.
Current centralized AI APIs expose sensitive prompts and proprietary corporate weights to centralized servers. Nesa's AIVM allows decentralized applications and enterprise users to submit machine learning queries that are verified across a decentralized network of cryptographic compute nodes. Using zero-knowledge proofs and secure enclaves, neither the validator nodes nor third-party observers can view the query content or model weights, while mathematical proof of correct execution is recorded on-chain.
The public testnet allows developers to interact with on-chain models, run validator nodes, and earn compute mining points. Nesa confirmed that early testnet participation metrics will be weighted heavily for the upcoming $NESA genesis community token distribution.
