Superposition, the first yield-bearing Layer 3 execution rollup built on top of Arbitrum One using Arbitrum Orbit and the Stylus execution environment, has deployed its public testnet, introducing **Utility Mining** and the high-speed **Longtail AMM**.
The Concept of a Yield-Bearing Blockchain
On conventional blockchains, holding native gas tokens or executing transactions incurs continuous fee drag. Superposition inverts this economic relationship:
- **Programmatic Utility Mining**: Every time a user executes a trade on Longtail, transfers an asset, or calls a smart contract, the underlying protocol routes a fraction of sequencer revenue directly back to the participant as yield.
- **Arbitrum Stylus Execution (Rust & C++)**: By utilizing Stylus rather than standard EVM bytecode, Superposition achieves up to 100x lower memory overhead and sub-cent execution costs for complex algorithmic order routing.
- **Longtail Orderbook AMM**: A native decentralized exchange designed specifically for longtail and volatile assets, leveraging concentrated liquidity and custom mathematical pricing curves.
"Blockchains should reward users for creating on-chain activity, not penalize them with arbitrary gas costs," stated the Superposition engineering team. "Superposition turns network utility into native economic yield."
Community Testnet Strategy
Community participants can add the Superposition testnet to MetaMask, bridge testnet assets from Arbitrum Sepolia, and execute swaps on Longtail AMM to accumulate verified testnet rewards ahead of mainnet genesis.
