Treehouse Finance, supported by $18M in funding from Lightspeed Venture Partners and Binance Labs, has deployed its flagship tETH vaults to establish decentralized benchmark interest rates for the multi-billion dollar liquid staking sector.
In traditional finance, benchmark reference rates (such as SOFR and EURIBOR) underpin hundreds of trillions in derivatives contracts. DeFi has lacked an equivalent institutional standard, subjecting lenders and borrowers to unpredictable floating rate volatility. Treehouse solves this through the Decentralized Offered Rate (DOR)—a consensus-driven reference rate reflecting true on-chain staking economics.
Users depositing ETH or wrapped staked ETH into Treehouse tETH vaults lock in predictable, fixed forward yields while retaining liquid, composable debt tokens. The launch marks a pivotal step in attracting institutional fixed-income capital into Ethereum restaking.
